Rachel is a licensed teacher in the state of Ohio, a licensed school administrator in the state of Ohio, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and Certified Ohio Behavior Analyst (COBA). Rachel started her career in the classroom as an elementary teacher. She then transitioned to working directly with children with autism and their families in the home setting, first as a behavior technician, and then as a BCBA, developing and overseeing specific programming for children with autism and other developmental delays. She joined the ESC of Medina County as a Behavior Specialist in 2011, working directly with school staff in the classroom, and became director of the Department of Special Needs Initiatives in 2014. She has presented locally and throughout the state at conferences and workshops, is an active member of OHABA and OAPSA, and supervises students as they pursue coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis, as well as supervising BCaBAs (Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts), RBTs (Registered Behavior Technicians), and BTs (Behavior Technicians). In 2021, Rachel co-founded RISE Academy, an alternative education program for students with behavior/mental health challenges.
