This festival is held annually in the spring at the Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital Medical Office Building. The goal of this year's juried art show is to be inclusive and provide opportunities for recognition to as many high school students as possible. Therefore, we have opened it up to students in Grades 9-12, instead of just high school seniors, and we are branding this year's show as the "Best of Medina County."
Each student will be submitting one or two pieces of his/her very best artwork. The Visual Art Festival provides the opportunity for high school visual arts students to:
-- Have their unique works of art displayed publicly,
-- Have their works adjudicated, and
-- View artwork by students from other school districts in Medina County.
In 2020 the ESC of Medina County awarded a $500 scholarship for a winning portfolio entry and $25 awards for winning individual entries.
Such partners as Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital and CBRE Group are vital to staging the show in such a nice venue.
An outgrowth of the Visual Art Festival is a year-round rotating student artwork display on several floors of the Medina Medical Office Building. See "Arts in Public Places" webpage.
