Royal Fare Farm Field Trip

Royal Fare Farm

Fun Times at Royal Fare Farm

Students took a field trip to Royal Fare Farm, a small family farm raising holistically grown animals and produce. Students rotated through stations: animal encounters in the barn where they learned about the different animals and could pet the cows and lamb; garden tours where they learned about various vegetables and herbs and then harvested and had the opportunity to eat fresh vegetables straight from the vine, pressing apple cider where they completed the process and were able to sample fresh cider. After a picnic lunch, everyone took a hike to the back of the property and explored the creek where they found crayfish, salamanders, and snakes. Kids were able to sit on tractors and learn about different farming equipment.
