The goal of the K-8 Virtual Schoolhouse is to provide an alternative learning opportunity for students with a focus on ensuring a synchronous and interactive classroom experience that closely follows a traditional school setting. The K-8 Virtual Schoolhouse provides remote instruction (utilizing Google Classroom and Google Meet) with daily sessions with teachers and a robust curriculum that includes high quality digital resources and print materials to be used at home.
Students have the opportunity to participate in online learning while remaining a student of their home district. Approval from the home district is required before a student can be enrolled. During the 2021-22 school year, we are currently enrolling students from to following districts: Black River Local, Brunswick City, Buckeye Local, Cloverleaf Local, Highland Local, Medina City, Wadsworth City, Barberton City, and Oberlin City.
If you are interested in participating in the ESC of Medina County K-8 Virtual Schoolhouse, contact your home district office for approval then fill out the Interest Form. After we receive district approval, a member of our team will reach out to you for further information and to begin the enrollment process.
