Council for Exceptional Children

The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) is the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for individuals with exceptionalities, students with disabilities, and/or the gifted. CEC advocates for appropriate governmental policies, sets professional standards, provides continual professional development, advocates for newly and historically underserved individuals with exceptionalities, and helps professionals obtain conditions and resources necessary for effective professional practice.

Americans with Disabilities Act-Ohio                                                           

ADA-OHIO is a state wide non-profit organization that provides information, technical assistance and training about the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to individuals, businesses, state and local government agencies or municipalities.

Society for Handicapped Citizens

They provide education, training, recreation, resources, materials, equipment loan, transportation subsidy and residential services to county residents with mental and/or physical disabilities. They also operate 8 residential homes for special needs individuals.
