2012 Medina County Spelling Bee Results

The 2012 Medina County Spelling Bee was held on Wednesday, February 1, at 7 p.m., at Medina High School Middle Stage Auditorium. The Bee was sponsored by the Akron Beacon Journal.
The competition featured 46 Medina County sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-grade students. After 11 rounds, six students were awarded trophies:
- Sunny Levine, Claggett Middle School
- Kaci Dobbins, Cloverleaf Middle School
- Daniel Johnson, Sacred Heart School
- Zach Porter, Wadsworth Middle School
- Hannah Hasan, Edwards Middle School
- Chris Wright, Highland Middle School
These top six spellers advance to the Akron Beacon Journal Regional Spelling Bee, which will be held on Saturday, March 10, 1 p.m., in the auditorium of the Akron-Summit County Public Library. Students participating in this Bee will represent Medina, Summit, Portage, and Wayne Counties. The winner of that competition will move on to the National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C.
