Internet Based Education

Alternative School Program

The Alternative School meets regularly during the school year from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Our classroom/computer lab is located in the Medina County Schools' Educational Service Center. We provide students from the local districts with an opportunity to complete their high school graduation requirements when circumstances prevent them from finishing at their home schools. Learning is done online as students work at their own pace, and have access to their lessons 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our certified staff of teachers and graders provides in-class assistance and online communication to better assist the students in their learning. Students benefit from regular reviews and discussions with the certified teaching staff, and both have up-to-date knowledge of classroom progress.

Virtual Learning Academy

The Virtual Learning Academy is our online service that provides high school students with an opportunity to finish their high school requirements for graduation from home through use of the Internet. Students have 24 hour access to their lessons which allows them to work at their convenience. With computerized instruction, a student may advance at his/her own pace and focus on grasping and understanding the materials presented to them through the vast stores of knowledge available on the Internet.

Online Anytime School

Students wishing to accelerate their graduation or those looking to recover lost credits may participate and benefit through our Online Anytime School. Students can pursue classes and credits toward their diplomas around their personal schedules with 24 hour access to their accounts. The Internet learning experience provides students with virtually unlimited access to information and ideas, while the certified staff assists students in the learning process. Educational options available through this avenue include credit flex, credit recovery, enrichment, and summer school.
