Medina County Spelling Bee The 2012 Medina County Spelling Bee is scheduled for Wednesday, February 1 , 7 p.m. , at Medina High School Middle Stage Auditorium. The Bee is sponsored by the Akron Beacon Journal. The competition includes sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-grade students from public, private, parochial, and home schools throughout the county. The top six spellers will advance on to the Akron Beacon Journal Regional Spelling Bee, which will be held on Saturday, March 10, 1:00 p.m., in the auditorium of the Akron-Summit County Public Library.
