Teacher of Excellence Award Dinner - 25th Anniversary
2009 Teachers of Excellence Award
The Homer B. Smith 2009 Teacher of Excellence Award dinner was held at The Blue Heron Country Club in Sharon Township on March 23, 2009, at 6:00 p.m. This award is given to the candidate that shows outstanding abilities as a teacher and is active in their community. Each candidate is nominated by principals, curriculum directors, or superintendents of their individual district. This year The Medina County Schools’ Educational Service Center’s Governing Board and the Buckeye Local School District were honored to present this award to Mr. Phil Bova, O.W.E. teacher at Buckeye High School.
The Teacher of Excellence Award was created in 1984 to recognize the dedication of a teacher from one of the four local districts (Black River, Buckeye, Cloverleaf and Highland). We were delighted when many of the past recipients join the 25th anniversary celebration.
