Medina County All-County Boards of Education Meeting
Each year the
Medina County Schools’ Educational Service Center presents the
All-County Boards of Education Meeting. The goal of the meeting is
to bring together board of education members from around Medina
County to discuss county and statewide issues, receive board member
training, and to work on cooperative projects. The most successful
of these projects is the 0.5 percent school sales tax initiative
that was passed by Medina County voters in 2007.
Each year the venue for the meeting rotates throughout the county
highlighting educational facilities across the county. Over the
past several years, the meeting has been held in the following
locations: Medina County University Center (The University of
Akron), Windfall School (MR/DD), Highland High School, Buckeye’s
York/Liverpool Elementary School, Brunswick’s Performing Arts
Center, Wolf Creek Environmental Center (Medina County Park
District), Cloverleaf High School, Medina’s A. I. Root Middle
School, and Wadsworth Middle School. The 2009 meeting is scheduled
for the Medina County Career Center.
The Medina County Schools’ ESC appreciates the cooperation and
assistance that is given to this program by the host districts.
Each year the board members from around the county can look forward
to visiting a new facility, enjoying excellent refreshments, and
benefiting from a professional presentation.
