Media Center
The Medina County Schools’ Educational Service Media Center provides the schools of Medina County with media resources, such as VHS videos, laser discs, DVDs, and video streaming, to enhance the classroom educational process. The services include:
- Update and maintain a media library of VHS, laser discs, DVDs, and streaming resources for all teachers and students.
- Provide the Medianet booking system so teachers may book videos via the Internet 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- Maintain a Web-based electronic catalog.
- Accept teacher bookings of videos in person or via the telephone, e-mail, or Medianet Web site.
- In-service teachers on how to access the video catalog and book videos on the Medianet Web site.
- Convene the Medina County Resource Center Committee, which previews, selects, and correlates each video to support current academic standards.
- Provide ability to download and burn educational DVDs from digital library.
- Coordinate the purchase of these online resources: Bridges, videostreaming (Discovery), and perpetual digital rights.
- Provide cooperative purchasing on laminating film and AV bulbs.
