Fine Arts Festivals

Solo & Ensemble Festival

This festival provides students with an opportunity to showcase their musical talents and serves as a preparation for the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) District VI adjudicated events at the high school and junior high/middle school levels. OMEA-qualified adjudicators give performance ratings and verbal comments to students participating in the event.

Visual Arts Festival - HS Senior Show

The county show provide a forum for students to display their works of art in a public setting and see the works of other students from across the county. The format is similar to a graduating art major in college who is required to hold a senior show.

Arts In Public Places

An outgrowth of the spring Visual Art Festival is a year-long rotating student artwork display on several floors of the Medina Hospital Medical Building. This public exhibit of student artwork is the result of a partnership between Medina Hospital, Simmons Brothers Construction, the Medina County Schools’ ESC, and the Medina County visual arts teachers.

Mission Statement

The overarching purpose of these festivals remains to afford our arts students with the opportunity to interact with professional arts educators as well as arts students from other county school districts in a festival environment (rather than competitive environment). Every attempt has been made to afford students who not only are identified as outstanding but also show potential for future growth with the opportunity to experience success beyond the experiences they have in their own school.
