SPOTLIGHT ON...........

Crisis Prevention Institute Training (CPI)
by Angie Morman

CPI is an international training organization that specializes in the safe management of disruptive and assaultive behavior.  CPI provides safe behavior management best practices and innovative resources to professionals around the world who are committed to creating safe and respectful work environments.

Since 1980, more than 5.4 million individuals have participated in CPI's training programs.  The strategies taught are recognized by many as the international standard for workplace violence prevention and intervention training.  CPI training programs are offered both on site and at more than 145 locations worldwide.

Medina County Schools' ESC offers CPI training to the Medina County districts, both for initial training's as well as refreshers.  The initial training's are offered either using the traditional full day classroom format, or the newer hybrid training which allows participants to attend part of the training via an online classroom and the other part in a group setting with the trainer.  The refreshers are done one year after the initial training, and can also be done throughout the year with school teams as needed.

For more information, please contact Angie Morman at (330) 723-6393.
