From Ohio and nearby states, 96 colleges and career/military/resource organizations participated in this year’s Medina County College/Tech/Trade Fair. The fair was held on Wednesday, October 10, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the Medina County Fairgrounds Community Center. In
attendance were over 300 students, parents, and educators. As these young
people make decisions concerning their post-high school education, undoubtedly some
will be directed toward the career-enhancing organizations that were
This year’s fair featured
a Financial Aid/ACT/SAT Planning Lab that was open from 5:00 to 7:30 pm. High school seniors had the
opportunity to receive their FAFSA ID; underclassmen were able to obtain
answers to their ACT and SAT questions as well as helpful financial aid

We thank Medina
County high school guidance counselors for their support in planning this event
and for their commitment to furthering the education and career development of our
county’s students. We also express our appreciation to the personnel at the Medina
County Community Center for their on-site assistance. In addition, we commend
the 11 students from the Medina County Career Center for volunteering their
time to assist as ushers.
