In this class, we will be reading and discussing a book, Genre Connections by Tanny McGregor. This book shares lessons where everyday objects, works of art, music, and Tanny’s much-loved anchor charts help readers discover what makes seven commonly taught genres unique. Her book will give ideas on how to gradually launch each sequence to release responsibility for learning about all text types, making learning achievable, accessible, and incremental for all types of students. Please be sure to purchase this book before coming to the first class session and have the first chapter read.
Registration fee: $60 Out-of-District fee: $120
One (1) Graduate Credit Hour will be available at the cost of $150 through The University of Akron or Ashland University on the first day of class. 1.5 CEUs will be available at no charge.
