This class will cover the difficult topic of stress and depression in children. Participants will have a working knowledge of the warning signs of clinical depression as well as suicidal ideations. The protocol for addressing serious concerns as well as parent involvement will be explored. We will practice techniques used in the classroom to alleviate some of the concerns. Participants will leave this workshop feeling empowered to help students be the best they can be.

One (1) Graduate Credit Hour will be available at the cost of $150 through The University of Akron or Ashland University on the first day of class. 1.5 CEUs will be available at no charge.
